Job Description
Join the Village Cinemas team in Laverton as Cinema Floor Staff! We’re seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to help deliver outstanding movie experiences during our busy night and weekend shifts. This is a casual role perfect for those looking to gain experience in a vibrant entertainment environment. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patrons with a friendly and positive attitude
- Process ticket sales and concession purchases accurately using POS systems
- Prepare and serve a range of food and beverage items, including popcorn and drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of cinema auditoriums, foyers, and restrooms
- Monitor cinema screens and report any technical issues
- Assist with crowd control and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests
- Handle cash and card transactions with precision and integrity
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable and punctual, with availability for night and weekend shifts
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic numeracy for cash handling (training provided)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role (desirable but not essential)
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (Victoria) – or willingness to obtain
- First Aid Certificate
