Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Psychology Student Intern to join our dynamic research team for hands-on experience in research and observation. This internship is designed for current psychology students eager to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting, gain exposure to active research projects, and develop essential professional skills. You will work alongside experienced researchers, contributing to studies focused on human behavior, cognitive processes, and social psychology. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring psychologists to build their resume and explore various facets of academic research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior researchers with data collection, including surveys, interviews, and experimental procedures.
  • Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research projects and proposals.
  • Observe and record participant behaviors in various research settings.
  • Assist with the organization and preliminary analysis of research data.
  • Prepare summaries and reports on research findings under supervision.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed research records and documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
  • Ensure ethical guidelines and protocols are followed throughout all research activities.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate Psychology program.
  • Strong interest in psychological research and scientific methodologies.
  • Excellent observational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently when required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical research practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R) is a plus.
  • Previous experience with data entry or basic data management.
  • Participation in university research projects or labs.
  • A minimum GPA of 5.0 (out of 7.0) or equivalent in relevant coursework.
