Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Engineer with expertise in Java and Spring Boot to join our growing team in Decatur, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that power critical applications within the automotive ecosystem. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with product managers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and system design.
- Implement and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Java programming language.
- Strong experience with the Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA).
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
