Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care (showering, dressing, grooming) while respecting their dignity and privacy.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers, utilizing appropriate aids and techniques under supervision.
- Help with meal times, ensuring residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration and assisting with feeding if required.
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and engage residents in social activities to promote their mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents' rooms and common areas.
- Observe and accurately report any changes in residents' health, behaviour, or well-being to senior nursing staff.
- Adhere strictly to care plans, company policies, and procedures under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Participate actively in all required training and development programs.
Required Skills
- A genuine desire to help and care for elderly individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient demeanour.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and commit to ongoing professional development.
- No prior experience in aged care is required; full training will be provided.
- Eligible to undertake relevant aged care qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Individual Support).
- Right to work in Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer literacy skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain upon commencement).
- A valid Australian driver's license.
