Job Description
We are seeking skilled and experienced Commercial Plumbers / Pipefitters to join our dynamic team in High Barnet, Greater London. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified individuals, including those from overseas, as we are offering international sponsorship to support your relocation and work in the UK. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and pipefitting systems in commercial properties, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, including pipework, fixtures, and fittings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing and pipefitting systems.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot plumbing issues to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespersons and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on plumbing and pipefitting systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours spent on each project.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor on site.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Commercial Plumber or Pipefitter (minimum 3 years).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and components.
- Proficiency in various pipe joining techniques (e.g., soldering, brazing, welding, threading).
- Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Plumbing or Pipefitting.
- Experience with HVAC systems plumbing components.
- CSCS card.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with UK building regulations and standards.
