Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Operations Manager to lead our IT infrastructure and service delivery team in Richmond Hill, ON. This critical role involves overseeing the daily operations of our IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of managing a diverse team, implementing ITIL best practices, and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the operational stability, performance, and security of all IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud environments.
- Develop and implement IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices, adhering to ITIL frameworks.
- Manage incident, problem, and change management processes to minimize disruption and ensure efficient resolution.
- Monitor system performance and availability, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
- Collaborate with other IT departments and business units to align IT operations with strategic objectives.
- Manage vendor relationships, service level agreements (SLAs), and IT contracts.
- Develop and manage the IT operations budget, optimizing resource allocation.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, servers (Windows/Linux), storage, and virtualization.
- Proficiency in ITIL frameworks (ITIL v3 or v4 certification preferred).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ITIL Expert or Master certification.
- Experience with DevOps methodologies and automation tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
