Job Description
Are you eager to learn a skilled trade and build a rewarding career? Bonfe Plumbing, Heating & Air is looking for a motivated HVAC Installation Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience to receive comprehensive, hands-on training from seasoned professionals. You will play a crucial role in assisting our lead technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of various HVAC systems. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead HVAC technicians with the installation of new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Help in the removal of old HVAC equipment, ensuring proper disposal.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
- Prepare work areas by setting up drop cloths, tarps, and other protective measures.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures diligently.
- Learn and apply basic HVAC principles, system components, and installation techniques.
- Provide general labor support as needed to ensure efficient project completion.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers and team members.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a construction, trades, or labor-intensive role (even non-HVAC related).
- Current enrollment or completion of a vocational/technical program related to HVAC is a plus, but not required.
