Job Description
Are you passionate about travel and have a knack for planning unforgettable adventures? Expedia Group is seeking a dedicated Virtual Travel Itinerary Planner to join our dynamic team. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for crafting bespoke travel itineraries tailored to our clients’ unique preferences and budgets. You’ll use your creativity, excellent organizational skills, and knowledge of global destinations to design seamless and exciting travel experiences, from initial consultation to post-trip follow-up. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves to connect with people and turn travel dreams into reality, all from the comfort of their home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their travel desires, preferences, and budgetary constraints.
- Research and recommend destinations, accommodations, transportation, and activities that align with client needs.
- Develop detailed, personalized travel itineraries, including timelines, booking information, and helpful tips.
- Assist clients with booking flights, hotels, car rentals, excursions, and other travel-related services.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the planning process and during clients' trips.
- Stay updated on global travel trends, destination specific requirements, and travel industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate and organized client records and itinerary documentation.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using online research tools and travel booking platforms.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- A genuine passion for travel and exploring new cultures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (personal or professional) in travel planning, sales, or customer service.
- Familiarity with GDS (Global Distribution System) or other travel industry booking software.
- Extensive personal travel experience to various international destinations.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in travel and tourism.
