Job Description

Are you passionate about helping others and looking for a meaningful remote career? TELUS International is seeking dedicated Virtual Citizen Support Agents to assist individuals with inquiries related to various government benefit programs. This is a fully remote, work-from-home opportunity designed for individuals who thrive in a flexible yet structured environment. You will be the primary point of contact for citizens, providing compassionate, accurate, and timely information and guidance. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to citizen inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding government benefit programs.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and up-to-date information on eligibility, application processes, and program details.
  • Navigate multiple systems and resources to research and resolve complex citizen issues.
  • Document all interactions accurately and thoroughly in the designated CRM system.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy while assisting citizens, especially during challenging situations.
  • Adhere to all privacy, security, and confidentiality protocols for sensitive citizen data.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to empathize with citizens and provide patient support.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple applications simultaneously.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free home workspace.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills, capable of working independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or call center environment (even non-government related).
  • Familiarity with government programs or social services.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is a significant asset.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
