Job Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Hospital Ward Clerk to join our dedicated team. This is an office-based role, providing essential administrative support to our clinical staff and ensuring the smooth running of our wards. No prior clinical experience is required; we are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. Full comprehensive training will be provided to help you excel in this role, covering everything from patient record management to departmental procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information systems.
- Answer telephone calls, direct enquiries, and take messages effectively.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of ward documentation.
- Liaise with patients, visitors, and multidisciplinary teams in a professional manner.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient transfers as required.
- Order and maintain appropriate levels of ward supplies and stationery.
- Support the nursing staff with non-clinical administrative tasks.

- GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
