Job Description

British Gas is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a General Service Technician (Trainee) to join our team in Leith, Edinburgh. No prior experience is needed, and you won’t even need to bring your own tools to start! We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals who are keen to learn and develop a rewarding career in home services. We will provide comprehensive, fully paid training to equip you with all the skills and knowledge required to become a successful service technician, maintaining and repairing various home systems. Key Responsibilities
- Attend and actively participate in all provided training programs and workshops.
- Shadow experienced technicians to learn best practices and operational procedures.
- Develop skills in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of home systems and appliances.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies during training and future work.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
- Maintain accurate records of training progress and eventually, service calls.
- Continuously seek opportunities for learning and skill development.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools (though not required to start).
