Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our dynamic team in Swansea. In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in transforming complex data into actionable insights, helping to drive strategic business decisions. You will work closely with various departments, leveraging data visualization tools and advanced analytical techniques to develop reports, dashboards, and predictive models. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to understand their data needs and deliver effective BI solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency by performing data validation and reconciliation.
- Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest BI technologies and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data infrastructure and analytical capabilities.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Experience in the financial services or insurance industry
- Familiarity with Python or R for statistical analysis
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
