Job Description
Are you passionate about helping people navigate their healthcare journey from the comfort of their home? TELUS Health is seeking empathetic and tech-savvy individuals to join our team as Virtual Telehealth Navigators. In this 100% remote role, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking virtual care, guiding them seamlessly through our platform to connect with doctors and health professionals online. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives by ensuring they receive timely and convenient access to healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients accessing virtual care services.
- Provide clear, concise, and compassionate guidance to patients on how to use the telehealth platform.
- Assist patients with scheduling virtual appointments and troubleshooting basic technical issues.
- Verify patient information and ensure a smooth intake process.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and internal teams to facilitate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with privacy regulations.
- Educate patients on available telehealth services and their benefits.
- Resolve patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a patient-first attitude.
- Proficiency with digital platforms and comfortable learning new technologies.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Access to a reliable internet connection and a quiet home office space.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, healthcare administration, or a call center environment.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms or electronic health records (EHR).
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in healthcare, administration, or a related field.
