Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Traffic Citations Processing Clerk to join our administrative team. This full-time, on-site position plays a critical role in the accurate and efficient handling of traffic citation data for the City of Boulder. The ideal candidate will possess excellent data entry skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage a high volume of administrative tasks while sitting for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input traffic citation data from various sources into the city's database system.
- Verify information for completeness and consistency against physical and digital documents.
- Process payments, respond to inquiries, and provide information regarding citation status to the public and internal departments.
- Organize, file, and maintain both physical and electronic records of traffic citations and related documents.
- Generate routine reports on citation volumes, processing times, and other relevant metrics.
- Assist with general administrative duties as needed, including scanning, photocopying, and mail distribution.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and data security protocols.
Required Skills
- Proficient data entry and typing skills (minimum 45 WPM with high accuracy).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Basic proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) and database systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, fast-paced administrative environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a clerical, data entry, or administrative support role, preferably in a government or legal setting.
- Familiarity with municipal court procedures or traffic citation processes.
- Experience using specific government or judicial record management systems.
- Associate’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field.
