Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Apartment Leasing Consultant to join our vibrant team in London, Ontario. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for sales and customer service, eager to help prospective residents find their perfect home. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for many, guiding them through the leasing process from initial inquiry to move-in. You’ll work closely with potential tenants, showcase our beautiful properties, and ensure a smooth, positive experience. This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission on every lease, rewarding your dedication and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct property tours for prospective residents, highlighting key features and benefits.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Process rental applications, conduct background checks, and prepare lease agreements accurately.
- Maintain high occupancy rates through proactive sales efforts, excellent customer service, and resident retention initiatives.
- Assist with move-in and move-out procedures, ensuring a seamless experience for residents.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform pricing and marketing strategies.
- Participate in community events and marketing outreach programs to generate leads.
- Ensure the leasing office and model units are clean, welcoming, and presentable at all times.
- Utilize property management software to track leads, applications, and resident information.
- Build strong relationships with current and prospective residents to foster a positive community environment.
Required Skills
- Proven sales or customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential leasing or property management.
- Knowledge of Yardi, RealPage, or other property management software.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Understanding of fair housing laws and regulations.
