Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Operations Officer (COO) with a specialized focus on Executive Relocation and Visa services to join our dynamic leadership team in Vancouver. The COO will be instrumental in optimizing our operational strategies, enhancing service delivery for executive mobility, and ensuring seamless execution of complex immigration and relocation processes. This role demands a strategic leader who can drive efficiency, manage high-performing teams, and maintain exceptional standards of client satisfaction within a fast-paced, global environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic operational plans to achieve business objectives, with a specific focus on executive relocation and visa services.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance across all service lines related to global mobility.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of operational managers and specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Optimize existing processes and workflows using data-driven insights and technology to enhance service delivery and client experience.
  • Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation for operational departments, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant immigration laws, regulations, and corporate compliance standards in all relocation and visa activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business development, legal, and HR, to align operational strategies with overall firm goals.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients and external partners, resolving escalated issues and identifying opportunities for service enhancement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adapt operations to evolving market demands and regulatory changes in the global mobility landscape.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, preferably within professional services, global mobility, or immigration consulting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale operational functions with P&L responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of executive relocation processes, international immigration laws, and visa requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, process optimization, and implementing operational efficiencies.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills, with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Proficiency in leveraging technology and data analytics for operational decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and constantly evolving international business environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Experience working with a 'Big Four' firm or a leading global mobility provider.
  • Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or operational excellence (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
  • Familiarity with global HR trends and talent management strategies.
  • Multilingual capabilities are an asset.
