Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bowling Lane Oiler to join our maintenance team for late-night shifts. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring our bowling lanes are meticulously maintained, oiled, and ready for optimal play. This involves operating specialized equipment, applying precise oil patterns, and performing general maintenance tasks to uphold the highest standards of our alleys. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in an independent work environment during non-peak hours and has a strong mechanical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain state-of-the-art lane oiling machines to specified patterns.
- Apply precise oil patterns to bowling lanes according to daily requirements and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform thorough cleaning and inspection of all bowling lanes, approaches, and pin deck areas.
- Conduct minor adjustments and preventative maintenance on pinsetters, ball returns, and other bowling equipment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of lane oil, cleaners, and other maintenance supplies.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area and overall alley environment.
- Document all maintenance activities, oil patterns, and repairs performed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company operational procedures.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure all equipment is in excellent working order.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during late-night hours.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift (up to 25kg), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic understanding of tools and maintenance equipment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures diligently.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a maintenance, technical, or similar hands-on role.
- Familiarity with bowling alley operations or equipment (not mandatory, training provided).
- Certification or training in mechanical repair or related fields.
