Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Window Shutter Labourer to join our busy team in Tuggeranong, ACT. This is a full-time, ongoing position offering consistent work and weekly pay. You will play a crucial role in our manufacturing and installation process, assisting with the preparation, assembly, and movement of window shutters. This role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, possess a strong work ethic, and are eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment. While previous experience is a plus, we are willing to train enthusiastic candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the unloading, sorting, and storage of materials and components.
- Perform basic assembly tasks for window shutters and blinds under supervision.
- Move finished products and materials around the workshop and warehouse safely.
- Prepare installation sites by ensuring cleanliness and accessibility.
- Support skilled technicians and installers on various tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures and guidelines.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 20kg).
- Strong work ethic and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety.
- Reliable and team-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environment (minimum 6 months).
- Current Australian Driver's License.
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
