Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable Demolition Offsiders to join our busy team in Bundaberg. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for immediate work in a dynamic and physical role. As a Demolition Offsider, you will play a crucial role in our on-site operations, assisting skilled demolition experts with various tasks. Full training will be provided, so no prior demolition experience is necessary – just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. This is a hands-on position requiring physical fitness and adherence to strict safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe and efficient demolition of structures under supervision.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools as directed.
- Help with site preparation, including fencing, signage, and exclusion zones.
- Sort and separate demolished materials for recycling and disposal.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and team leaders.
- Perform general labouring tasks as required to support demolition activities.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
- Experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., construction, landscaping, warehousing).
- First Aid certification.
