Job Description
Are you a budding UI Designer eager to kickstart your career? Rivergum Digital Solutions is offering an exciting UI Design Internship with a strong focus on App Interface Mentorship. This is an incredible opportunity for an entry-level individual to gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to the design of cutting-edge mobile and web applications. You will work closely with our senior designers, participating in various stages of the design process and developing a strong foundational understanding of user interface principles, user experience best practices, and design tools. Full training and dedicated mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior UI designers in creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for mobile and web applications.
- Conduct basic UI research and gather inspiration for design solutions.
- Help maintain and update design systems and style guides.
- Participate in design critiques and team meetings, offering fresh perspectives.
- Learn to use industry-standard design software like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure design implementation accuracy.
- Support the creation of presentation materials for client pitches and internal reviews.
- Document design choices and contribute to project briefs.
Required Skills
- A strong passion for UI/UX design and technology.
- Basic understanding of design principles (e.g., layout, typography, color theory).
- Familiarity with at least one design tool (e.g., Canva, basic Figma, Photoshop, even just curiosity to learn).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree/diploma in Design, Multimedia, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A portfolio demonstrating design interest, even if it contains only conceptual or student projects.
- Experience with user research methods is a plus.
- Understanding of front-end development basics (HTML, CSS) is beneficial but not required.
