Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Edinburgh. In this role, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and scaling our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies to ensure our platforms are highly available, scalable, and secure, directly contributing to the seamless experience of millions of travelers worldwide. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable software deployments.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and services into the existing infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage security best practices across all environments.
  • Automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for production systems.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Experience with Linux operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
  • Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
