Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Pipeline Engineer to join our dynamic team in Leicester. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and project management of various pipeline projects, ranging from water and wastewater to oil and gas, ensuring adherence to the highest safety and quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure developments and work alongside leading industry experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed design and analysis of pipelines using industry-standard software.
  • Develop technical specifications, drawings, and reports for pipeline projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimations.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant international and national codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits as required.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Pipeline Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pipeline design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in pipeline design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Caesar II, FEA tools).
  • Strong understanding of pipeline materials, corrosion protection, and construction methods.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, BS EN, DNV).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.
  • Experience with hydraulic modelling and transient analysis.
  • Project management certification or experience managing small projects.
  • Experience in client-facing roles and preparing technical proposals.
