Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Casual Inventory Counter in Dubbo and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable individuals looking for flexible work with a focus on accuracy and teamwork. As an Inventory Counter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precise tracking of our stock, supporting the smooth operation of our retail environments. Full training will be provided, making this an accessible role for those new to inventory or retail. Due to the nature of casual work and ‘Flexible Locations’, you will be required to travel to different Woolworths Group sites (e.g., supermarkets, Big W stores, distribution centres) within the Dubbo region as needed. Access to reliable transportation is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately count and record inventory using handheld scanning devices.
- Verify stock levels against system data.
- Organise and prepare stock for counting.
- Work efficiently and accurately to meet counting targets.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and store staff.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Required Skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic numeracy skills.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously.
- Reliability and punctuality are paramount.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and occasionally lift light items (up to 10kg) for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends, based on business needs.
- Access to reliable transportation to travel to various work locations within the Dubbo area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehousing, or inventory role is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with handheld scanning devices or inventory management systems.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
