Job Description
We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Casual Bin Collector for essential council waste management services in Innisfail. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys outdoor work, contributing to community well-being, and is looking for flexible, well-paid casual employment. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of kerbside waste and recycling bins across various routes within the Cassowary Coast region. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all aspects of the role, making this an ideal entry point for those new to the waste management sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate refuse collection vehicles on assigned routes.
- Collect kerbside waste and recycling bins according to schedule and established procedures.
- Ensure all collected waste is properly secured and transported to designated facilities.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and operational guidelines.
- Report any incidents, hazards, or issues encountered during collection to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment.
- Provide professional and courteous interaction with the public when necessary.

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
- Current HR or MR class driver's license (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in waste collection or a similar outdoor labour role.
- Knowledge of the local Innisfail area and surrounding Cassowary Coast region.
- White Card (Construction Induction).
