Job Description
Are you passionate about the startup world and eager to learn the intricacies of early-stage investing? Pacific Horizon Ventures is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Angel Syndicate Operations Intern to join our team. This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the venture capital and angel investing space. You will play a crucial supporting role in the day-to-day operations of our angel syndicate, helping us manage deal flow, support our investors, and ensure smooth administrative processes. No prior experience in venture capital is required; we are committed to providing comprehensive training and mentorship to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of deal flow, including initial screening of startup pitches and maintaining our database.
- Support the preparation of investment memos, investor updates, and presentation materials.
- Help coordinate meetings and events for our angel investor network.
- Perform administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the syndicate.
- Research market trends, potential investment opportunities, and industry landscapes.
- Assist with portfolio monitoring and data collection for reporting.
- Maintain and update CRM systems and other operational tools.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed by the investment team.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
- A genuine interest in startups, technology, and financial markets.
