Are you passionate about animals and looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of pets? Petland Canada is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Aquarium & Exotic Pet Store Assistant to join our team in Calgary. This role is perfect for an animal lover who is eager to learn about exotic and aquatic pets, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to a positive store environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent entry-point for individuals keen to start a career in pet care and retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for aquatic and exotic animals, including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of animal habitats and store premises.
- Assist customers with product selection, animal care advice, and general inquiries.
- Handle sales transactions, process returns, and maintain accurate inventory.
- Ensure proper setup and maintenance of aquarium systems and exotic animal habitats.
- Educate customers on responsible pet ownership, proper nutrition, and animal welfare.
- Receive and stock merchandise, ensuring shelves are well-organized and displays are appealing.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
