Job Description

Are you a creative aspiring designer with a passion for brands and visual identity? Woolworths Group is offering an exciting Brand Design Internship focusing on Logo & Identity Placement. This entry-level opportunity is perfect for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work closely with our experienced brand and marketing teams, contributing to the strategic placement and application of our diverse brand assets. This role is designed for learning and growth, with full training provided to help you develop practical skills in brand governance and visual communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Brand Design team with the correct placement and application of logos and brand identities across various internal and external materials.
  • Support the creation of brand guidelines documentation and asset libraries.
  • Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions to understand brand consistency requirements.
  • Conduct research on current branding trends and competitor brand strategies.
  • Help maintain and organize digital asset management systems.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc design projects as required, learning about different aspects of brand execution.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual consistency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of branding principles is a plus, but not essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree/diploma program in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A portfolio demonstrating design interest, even if it contains only student or personal projects.
  • Familiarity with retail branding or large corporate identity systems.
