Job Description
We are seeking reliable and physically fit individuals to join our Armidale team as a Bulk Goods Handler for casual day shifts. This is an ongoing opportunity for those looking for flexible work within a dynamic warehouse and logistics environment. As a Bulk Goods Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and storage of various goods, contributing directly to our operational success. Full training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
- Efficiently move and store goods within the warehouse using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques.
- Sort, stack, and organise bulk items according to warehouse procedures.
- Conduct regular checks on goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including manual handling guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Proven physical fitness and strength to lift and move heavy bulk goods regularly.
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced team environment.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic literacy skills to understand and follow instructions and safety signage.
- Commitment to adhering to all workplace health and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manual handling role is highly regarded.
- Current forklift license (LF or LO) would be an advantage but is not essential for this role.
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transport to and from our Armidale facility.
