Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Vehicle Valeter to join our busy dealership in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for making vehicles shine. As a Vehicle Valeter, you will be responsible for preparing new and used vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring they look pristine for our customers. Full training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a desire to deliver exceptional quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough interior and exterior cleaning of vehicles to showroom standards.
- Wash, wax, and buff vehicle exteriors to a high-gloss finish.
- Vacuum and shampoo vehicle interiors, including seats, carpets, and floor mats.
- Clean and polish windows, mirrors, dashboard, and trim.
- Apply protective treatments to paintwork, upholstery, and other surfaces.
- Inspect vehicles for imperfections and re-clean as necessary to meet quality benchmarks.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe valeting bay.
- Adhere to all company health and safety guidelines and product usage instructions.
- Assist with moving vehicles safely around the dealership premises as required.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of vehicle cleaning products and techniques (full training will be provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a valeting, detailing, or similar cleaning role is advantageous but not essential.
- A full, valid UK Driving Licence is highly desirable for moving vehicles on site.
