Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic cybersecurity team in London. This role is crucial for ensuring the robust security of our cloud infrastructure, applications, and data across various platforms. You will be instrumental in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, and responding to security incidents within our evolving cloud environment. As a Hybrid role, you will have the flexibility of working from home and collaborating with your team at our state-of-the-art office in Kensington, London.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls and best practices for cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing on cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Monitor cloud security alerts and incidents, performing analysis and response activities.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures in line with industry regulations.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Provide expert guidance on cloud security architecture and solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with cloud security principles and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies for cloud environments (e.g., SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS).
- Understanding of network security concepts (firewalls, VPNs, routing).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
- Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
- Experience in an international or multicultural work environment.
