Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Salford Quays. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions for our cloud environments. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud security architectures and policies across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Perform security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management for cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce security best practices, standards, and guidelines for cloud-native applications and services.
- Monitor cloud environments for security incidents, respond to alerts, and conduct incident investigations.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and compliance teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud security threats, trends, and technologies.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on cloud security matters to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cloud security architecture, implementation, and operations.
- Strong understanding of security principles across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Expertise in identity and access management (IAM), network security, data protection, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Proficiency with security tools and technologies for cloud environments (e.g., SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS).
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
- Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
