Job Description
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Commercial Diver / Welders. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated candidates, as we offer sponsorship and support for necessary certifications for those who demonstrate strong aptitude and commitment. In this role, you will perform a variety of underwater construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks, primarily focusing on welding operations. You will work in diverse aquatic environments, contributing to critical infrastructure projects and ensuring the integrity and safety of submerged structures. Full training and certification support will be provided to successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform underwater welding and cutting operations using various techniques and equipment.
- Conduct underwater inspections, surveys, and maintenance of submerged structures.
- Assist with the installation, repair, and removal of underwater infrastructure, including pipelines, foundations, and support structures.
- Operate and maintain diving equipment, tools, and machinery safely and effectively.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, industry regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Document work performed, observations, and complete necessary reports.
- Participate in pre-dive and post-dive briefings and debriefings.
- Work collaboratively with the dive team and project managers to ensure project success.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and readiness for demanding work environments.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding of welding principles and techniques (prior welding experience preferred, but not strictly required for sponsorship candidates).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in challenging and confined spaces.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites, often on short notice.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to strict procedures.
- Ability to swim proficiently.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a trade or construction environment.
- Certification from an accredited welding program.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with marine environments or construction.
