Job Description

The RSPCA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Non-Profit Board Governance Intern to join our administration team in Swindon. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of board meeting agendas, materials, and presentations.
  • Take accurate minutes during board and committee meetings.
  • Support the coordination of meeting logistics, including scheduling and venue arrangements.
  • Maintain and organize governance documents, policies, and records, ensuring compliance and accessibility.
  • Conduct research on governance best practices, regulatory requirements, and sector trends.
  • Assist with communications to board members and key stakeholders.
  • Provide general administrative support to the governance and executive administration teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program in Public Administration, Business Administration, Law, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
  • Some prior volunteer experience in a professional or non-profit setting.
