Job Description

Mission Australia is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Community Development Intern to join our dedicated team in Springwood, Logan. As an intern, you will play a supportive role in various social impact projects, contributing to initiatives that empower individuals and strengthen community ties. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and coordination of community engagement events and workshops.
• Conduct research to identify community needs, resources, and potential partners.
• Support the team in developing and implementing community programs aimed at social impact.
• Prepare communication materials, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support to the Community Development team, including data entry and record keeping.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for program improvement.
• Engage respectfully and empathetically with community members and service users.
• Help monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Social Work, Community Development, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or a related field.
• Previous volunteer experience in a community setting or non-profit organisation.
• Familiarity with the Logan City community and its demographics.
