Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Community Health Intern to join our Public Health Project Focus team in Geelong. This internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about public health to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will support various public health initiatives aimed at improving community well-being, participating in projects from conception to evaluation. This is an entry-level position designed for learning and development, providing comprehensive training and mentorship to help you build a strong foundation in community health practices. This role is crucial for assisting our team in addressing prevalent health challenges and promoting positive health outcomes across the Barwon region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the research, planning, and implementation of community health programs and public health initiatives.
- Support the collection, entry, and basic analysis of data related to public health projects.
- Participate in community outreach activities, health promotion events, and workshops.
- Help prepare educational materials, presentations, and reports for various public health projects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to achieve project goals.
- Provide administrative support to the public health department as needed.
- Contribute to the evaluation and reporting of project outcomes and impact.
