Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Community Nurse Assistant to join our Public Health Outreach team in Karratha. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals passionate about community health who are eager to start a career in healthcare. As a Community Nurse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our public health programs, assisting registered nurses with outreach activities, health screenings, and community education. Full training will be provided to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to excel in this rewarding role. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Registered Nurses in planning and conducting public health outreach events and clinics.
  • Support health screening initiatives, including basic measurements and data collection.
  • Provide general administrative support to the public health team.
  • Distribute health education materials and resources to community members.
  • Engage with community members to promote health and wellbeing programs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development sessions.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all community participants.

  • Ability to speak local Indigenous languages or other community languages.
