Coates Hire is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Construction Hoist Operator Trainee in Campbellfield. No prior experience is required – this is an entry-level position where we provide full, paid safety training and certification to equip you with all the skills needed to operate construction hoists safely and efficiently on various active sites. Key Responsibilities

  • Undergo and successfully complete all provided safety and operational training for construction hoists.
  • Operate construction hoists safely and efficiently to transport personnel and materials on active construction sites, initially under direct supervision.
  • Conduct thorough pre-start checks and perform basic maintenance on hoist equipment as instructed.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with ground crews, site management, and other personnel.
  • Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with the setup, dismantling, and relocation of hoist equipment as required.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or incidents immediately to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Strong commitment to safety and a willingness to follow strict protocols and procedures.
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to dynamic construction environments.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Good physical condition and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on active construction sites.
  • Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
  • Must hold a valid Australian driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of a White Card (Construction Induction Card).
  • Basic understanding of construction site operations or previous experience in an industrial setting.
  • First Aid certification.
