Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently collect and deliver mail and parcels to homes and businesses within a specific route.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Sort and prepare mail for delivery, ensuring accuracy and proper sequencing.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing Royal Mail Group positively.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina for walking, lifting, and carrying.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- A full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with the Coventry area and surrounding districts.
- Good geographical knowledge and navigation skills.
