Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for anomalies, alerts, and potential threats.
- Conduct incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on systems and applications.
- Analyze security logs and network traffic to identify suspicious activities.
- Implement and maintain security tools and technologies (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Provide security awareness training to internal staff.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and security architecture.
- Knowledge of common attack vectors and mitigation strategies.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and concepts.
- Familiarity with incident response processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GIAC GSEC).
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
