Job Description
Are you eager to start a career in woodworking and craftsmanship but have no prior experience? Neptune Home is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Cabinet Maker Assistant to join our skilled team in Bath. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone who is keen to learn the art of cabinet making from the ground up. You will be working closely with experienced cabinet makers, assisting in various stages of the manufacturing process, and developing valuable hand tool skills. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals passionate about working with their hands and creating high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced cabinet makers with various tasks in the workshop.
- Learn to safely and effectively use a range of hand tools, including chisels, planes, saws, and measuring equipment.
- Prepare materials by cutting, sanding, and assembling components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools are properly cared for.
- Support the team in quality control checks and finishing processes.
- Follow all workshop safety procedures and guidelines.
- Develop a strong understanding of different wood types, joinery techniques, and cabinet construction.
Required Skills
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new practical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
