Job Description
As a Commercial Energy Efficiency Consultant at Schneider Electric, you will play a pivotal role in helping our commercial clients identify, evaluate, and implement energy-saving solutions. You will be responsible for conducting energy audits, analyzing usage data, developing comprehensive energy management plans, and presenting compelling proposals to C-level executives and facility managers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and exceptional communication abilities to guide clients through complex energy projects from inception to completion, ensuring significant cost savings and environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site energy audits and assessments for commercial buildings and facilities.
- Analyze energy consumption data, utility bills, and building systems to identify energy waste and efficiency opportunities.
- Develop detailed energy savings calculations, cost-benefit analyses, and project proposals.
- Present findings and recommendations to clients, clearly articulating technical information and financial benefits.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and project management teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and implementable.
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from design to commissioning.
- Stay current with emerging energy efficiency technologies, regulations, and incentives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on energy management.
- Contribute to the development of new service offerings and improve existing methodologies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental), Energy Management, or related field.
- 24 months of experience in energy efficiency, building sciences, or facility management.
- Proven ability to conduct energy audits and identify savings opportunities in commercial settings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client presentations and report generation.
- Knowledge of commercial building systems (HVAC, lighting, building automation, etc.).
- Understanding of energy conservation measures and renewable energy technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar professional certification.
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering or business field.
- Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus).
- Familiarity with LEED, ENERGY STAR, or other green building standards.
- Project management experience in energy efficiency upgrades.
