Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Fencing Operative to join our dedicated team in Woking, Surrey. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals looking to start or advance their career in outdoor maintenance and construction. Full training will be provided, ensuring you gain the skills and confidence required to excel. As a Fencing Operative, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of fencing across our client sites, contributing to the security and aesthetic upkeep of properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install new fences, gates, and barriers according to specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Repair and maintain existing fencing structures, including replacing damaged posts, panels, and gates.
  • Prepare ground, dig post holes, and ensure proper foundations for fencing.
  • Measure and cut materials accurately to achieve precise installations.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations on site.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, assisting colleagues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
  • Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and daily logs accurately.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, digging, and carrying.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A valid UK Driving Licence (essential for career progression).
  • CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
