Job Description

As a Fraud Operations Intern, you will play a crucial supporting role in our E-commerce Security team, learning the fundamentals of fraud detection, prevention, and response within the digital commerce landscape. This internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies and strategies used to combat financial crime. You will contribute to real-world investigations, analyze transaction data, and help implement measures that safeguard our e-commerce platforms and customer assets. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring e-commerce transactions for suspicious activity and potential fraud indicators.

  • Help with documentation of fraud cases, investigation findings, and resolution steps.
  • Learn to utilize fraud detection tools and systems under the guidance of experienced professionals.
  • Participate in the review of customer accounts and transactions to mitigate fraud risks.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of fraud prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service and risk management, on fraud-related matters.
  • Conduct research on various fraud schemes and security vulnerabilities in the e-commerce space.

  • Previous experience with online payments or e-commerce platforms (even personal use) is beneficial.
  • Understanding of basic security principles and fraud typologies.
