Job Description
Are you a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for fast-paced, high-tech environments? Deliveroo Editions is seeking a motivated Ghost Kitchen Expo / Order Expediter to join our innovative team in Doncaster. In this critical on-site role, you will be the central point of contact between our diverse kitchen teams and delivery riders, ensuring seamless coordination, accurate order fulfillment, and swift dispatch. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern, dynamic setting at the cutting edge of the food delivery industry, where efficiency, precision, and customer satisfaction are paramount. You will play a vital part in orchestrating the flow of delicious food from multiple virtual restaurants directly to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and consolidate food orders from multiple restaurant brands within the ghost kitchen facility.
- Act as the primary liaison between kitchen staff and delivery riders, communicating order status and coordinating efficient handoffs.
- Utilise proprietary dispatch software to monitor order progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely order preparation and delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient expo station, strictly adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Proactively address any order discrepancies, missing items, or delays, escalating complex issues to management as needed.
- Ensure all outgoing orders are complete, correctly packaged, and meet Deliveroo's quality standards before dispatch.
- Contribute to a positive and high-energy working environment, promoting teamwork, clear communication, and operational excellence.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation as required to support kitchen operations.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of clear and concise interaction.

- Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology, including tablet-based dispatch systems.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, food service, or fast-casual environment.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices (e.g., Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate).
- Experience using order management or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- An understanding of logistics, dispatch operations, or inventory management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
