Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Gutter Cleaning Assistant to join our exterior maintenance team. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals who are comfortable with outdoor work, not afraid of heights, and eager to learn a valuable trade. No prior experience in gutter cleaning is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to ensure your success. Your primary role will be to assist lead technicians in maintaining clean and functional gutter systems for our residential and commercial clients, focusing on ladder stability and efficient debris removal.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and securely hold and stabilize ladders for lead technicians at various heights.
- Assist in the efficient setup and takedown of all necessary tools and equipment at job sites.
- Methodically remove leaves, twigs, dirt, and other debris from gutters and downspouts.
- Perform thorough post-service cleanup of work areas, ensuring no mess is left behind.
- Help transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and industry guidelines.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and, when necessary, with customers.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Comfortable working at various heights on ladders and roofs.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our facility.
- Basic understanding and commitment to safety procedures in an outdoor work environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in outdoor labor, landscaping, or construction is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with residential property maintenance or general home services.
- Comfortable operating basic hand tools and power equipment.
