Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Hotel Housekeeper to join our team in Southampton. As a Hotel Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment during their stay. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness will directly contribute to our guests’ satisfaction and our hotel’s reputation for excellence. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and service assigned rooms daily according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing supplies.
  • Ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Handle guest requests promptly and courteously, reporting any issues or special requests to the supervisor.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or broken items.
  • Manage and organize cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Assist with laundry duties and public area cleaning as needed.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning principles and practices (training provided).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably in a hotel environment (6 months).
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
