Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and eager Information Assurance Intern to join our IT Governance team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in information security, risk management, and compliance within a large corporate environment. You will support the team in ensuring our information assets are protected and our IT operations align with regulatory standards and internal policies. Full training and mentorship will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone passionate about starting a career in IT governance and information assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and review of information security policies and procedures.
- Support the IT Governance team in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential vulnerabilities.
- Help monitor compliance with internal security policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of IT governance frameworks.
- Participate in incident response planning and awareness training initiatives.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports on security metrics and compliance status.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A keen interest in information security, IT governance, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
