Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in the insurance industry? TD Insurance is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual for an Insurance Claims Adjuster (Trainee) – Desk Role. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with no prior experience in claims, as we offer comprehensive, full training to equip you with all the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. As a Trainee, you will learn the fundamentals of claims adjusting, focusing on desk-based claim management. You will be instrumental in processing claims efficiently, communicating with policyholders, and ensuring fair and timely resolutions under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a structured training program to learn insurance claims processes and procedures.
- Assist senior adjusters in gathering and documenting claim information from policyholders and third parties.
- Process basic claim details and update systems with accurate information.
- Communicate professionally with policyholders to provide updates and gather necessary details via phone and email.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Develop a foundational understanding of various insurance coverages and claims scenarios.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless claims experience for our customers.
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- A keen desire to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in any discipline.
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role.
- Fluency in French is an asset.
