Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Tagger to join our retail support team for casual day shifts in Cairns. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in a dynamic retail environment. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our store’s inventory is accurately managed, contributing to smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately tagging and labelling incoming merchandise with correct pricing and product information.
- Assisting with the unpacking and organization of deliveries in the stockroom.
- Conducting inventory counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Identifying and reporting discrepancies in stock levels or product information.
- Maintaining a clean and organized stockroom environment.
- Supporting the retail team with various ad-hoc tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift and carry items up to 15kg and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment (even if informal).
- Familiarity with inventory management principles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
