Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant culinary team in Chicago. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of our kitchen, supporting our chefs and ensuring a smooth workflow during busy service periods. Key Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils by hand or using dishwashing machines.
- Storing clean dishes, cutlery, and equipment appropriately.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs.
- Ensuring all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment, are kept clean and hygienic.
- Emptying bins and managing waste disposal.
- Receiving and organizing deliveries, ensuring proper storage of supplies.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including HACCP standards.
- Supporting kitchen staff with various tasks to maintain efficient operations.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
